Job summary

Fractal is seeking a senior AWS DevOps/SRE to lead platform engineering, design and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure, and mentor engineers in Poland. You will ensure SoW and SLA-aligned outcomes while driving security, reliability and cost optimization.

The role requires 8–12 years of experience, deep AWS knowledge (VPC, IAM, S3, EC2, RDS, EKS/ECS), and IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation, plus GitOps practices and observability.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of professional experience, including 4–6 years in AWS DevOps and/or SRE.
• Bachelor's degree (B.E., B.Tech., BCA, MCA) or equivalent.
• Relevant AWS certifications: SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer – Professional.

• Ensure cloud security, compliance, and operational reliability, while optimising utilisation, performance, and costs.

Requirements

• Strong production experience in AWS architecture, administration, and platform troubleshooting.
• Solid knowledge of AWS networking, security, storage, and compute, including VPC, IAM, S3, EC2, RDS, and EKS/ECS.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Experience with shared, multi‑account AWS platforms and GitOps/DevSecOps practices.
• Experience building distributed platforms and large‑scale infrastructure for data engineering and data science workloads.
• Experience with AWS monitoring services and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and cross‑functional teams.
