Job summary

Sopra Steria in Katowice is seeking motivated Computer Science students to join as Associate Engineer, supporting IoT and embedded projects. You will contribute to development, testing, and configuration while adhering to quality and security standards.

The role requires located in Poland with commuting to the Katowice office, and collaboration with international teams across cloud, hardware, and software domains. Proficiency in C++, Python, or C#, Linux, and Docker is expected.

Qualifications

• Student status in Computer Science or a related field.
• Good knowledge of C++, Python, or C#.
• Experience with Linux environments (Ubuntu/Debian) on embedded platforms.
• Ability to containerize applications using Docker (IoT Edge).
• Knowledge of hardware platforms such as Raspberry Pi, NVIDIA Jetson, ESP32, or STM32.
• Experience with data serialization using JSON or Protobuf (Protobuf).
• English proficiency to work with technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of software and IoT/IT system components.
• Support the configuration, installation, and maintenance of systems, software, hardware, and network infrastructure.
• Support cybersecurity analysis activities and incident resolution.
• Prepare, execute, and document software tests, including unit tests.
• Train users and provide technical support to customers and end users.
• Attend project, internal, and customer meetings.
