Job summary

Tate & Lyle Global Shared Services Centre in Łódź seeks a Junior Transaction Processing Analyst to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and account reconciliations within the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, including vendor invoice processing and period closing activities.

You will resolve discrepancies, maintain compliance with policies, prepare reports, and support continuous process improvements in a fast-paced, multinational finance team, with exposure to SAP and Excel

Qualifications

• University degree in Economics or Finance/Accounting.
• Proficient in MS Excel; basic Access; SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent English (B2) and strong finance/accounting knowledge.
• Team oriented with proactive mindset and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and payments accurately within Purchase-to-Pay (P2P).
• Handle month-end closing activities and reconciliations.
• Prepare regular and ad hoc reports and maintain process documentation.

Tate & Lyle Global Shared Services Centre in Łódź is the principal location for handling the business support activities and processes for Tate & Lyle, both transactional as well as value-added business partnering support. Starting operations in 2011 with less than 50 people, we now have over 350 employees supporting operations globally. We have 30 teams operating in Łódź to provide service in the areas of Finance, Customer Service, Procurement, HR/People Services, and IS/IT

ROLE PURPOSE

The Junior Transaction Processing Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices or payments, and account reconciliations within the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process. This includes managing the full cycle from Vendor Invoice Processing and Payment Processing for both external and internal vendors to Period Closing Activities. The role also involves resolving discrepancies, maintaining compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements, and supporting continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency within the Global Shared Services Centre (GSS).

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIE S

• Efficiently process invoices or payments, meeting business and vendor expectations.
• Resolve business and vendor queries and issues effectively.
• Be responsible for month-end closing activities and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Prepare regular and ad hoc reports.
• Create and update Detailed Process Manuals.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory guidelines, implementing formal process documentation and internal controls.
• Meet agreed KPIs and SLAs, ensuring all targets are achieved.
• Continuously improve processes, striving for best practices and excellence.
• Actively participate in process improvements and the development of best practice processes.
• Contribute to a positive working environment within the Global Shared Services Centre (GSS).
• Support other team members and departments as required.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Key Responsibilities of the Junior Transaction Processing Analyst :

• Process vendor invoices, ensure proper 3-way matching, verify invoice approval, tax calculation, and cost allocation.
• Respond to vendor questions regarding invoices and payments and resolve invoice discrepancies in conjunction with procurement and business units.
• Perform month-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliation of AP SAP ledger to GL, and resolution of outstanding balances.
• Ensure compliance controls and support internal and external auditors by providing necessary documentation.
• Perform internal controls such as quality checks, GRIR reconciliation, and vendor account reconciliation.
• Identify and mitigate fraud risks, duplicate payments, and non-compliant transactions.
• Perform other tasks related to company code specifications.

• Accuracy and timeliness of invoice and payment processing.
• Effectiveness in resolving business and vendor inquiries.
• Contribution to process standardization and improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A university degree (ideally related to Economy or Finance& Accounting).

EXPERIENCE

• Good MS Office skills, especially Excel and Access (V-Lookups, Pivots, etc).
• SAP system knowledge (nice to have).
• Soft skills trainings would be beneficial.
