Job summary

ABB's System Drives division in Poland seeks a Testing Engineer to ensure correct execution of MV frequency converter testing, guarantee quality, and report results. The role is onsite and involves working at Test Station with measurement equipment.

You will inspect components per specifications, document findings, and support new developments. A university engineering degree with 2+ years in testing or related electrical work, and proficiency in English, are required. SEP E&D is a plus.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering/technical field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in testing, research, measurements, commissioning, or working with electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of power engineering, automation, power electronics, and electronics.
• SEP qualifications (E and D).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and work with technical documentation.
• Proficient use of measurement devices.
• Communicative English and knowledge of MS Office.
• Knowledge of MV inverter design and operation is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, independence, and good work organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the correct execution of the testing process for medium‑voltage frequency converter components, guaranteeing quality standards.
• Performing necessary tasks at Test Station workstations.
• Maintaining and reporting irregularities in testing and measurement equipment operation.
• Reporting and analyzing the results of performed tests.
• Inspecting and accepting MV frequency converter components per technical specifications.
• Supporting the department in new developments and implementation activities.
