Job summary

ABB is seeking an engineer to ensure precise testing of medium-voltage frequency converter components and to guarantee adherence to quality standards onsite. The role requires hands-on testing at dedicated stations, tool care, and meticulous reporting of results.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree with at least two years in testing or related electrical work, with knowledge of power electronics and the ability to read schematics. English proficiency and MS Office are needed.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering/technical field and minimum 2 years in testing, research, measurements, commissioning, or working with electrical equipment.
• Knowledge of power engineering, automation, power electronics, and electronics.
• SEP qualifications (E and D).
• Ability to read electrical schematics and work with technical documentation.
• Proficient use of measurement devices and MS Office.
• Good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct execution of testing process for medium-voltage frequency converter components and guarantee quality standards.
• Perform tasks at the Test Station workstations.
• Care for tools and report irregularities in testing/measurement equipment.
• Report and analyze results of performed tests.
• Inspect and accept components per technical specifications.
• Support department in new developments and implementation activities.
