AFRY is seeking a structural engineer to join our team focusing on wastewater treatment plant design, collaborating with Swiss and German standards. The role emphasizes BIM-enabled civil works design and cross-functional teamwork within a hybrid Poland-based setup.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of structural engineering experience.
• Team-oriented with multidisciplinary collaboration.
• English proficiency at B2–C1.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Solid knowledge of BIM Methodology (openBIM) and collaboration platforms.
• Proficient in structural software: SOFiSTiK, TEKLA, ALLPLAN.

Responsibilities

• Design civil work structures for wastewater treatment plants (tanks, basins, pumping stations, service buildings for domestic wastewater treatment).
• Basic sizing provided by process engineers; design and information gathering from machinery and electromechanical equipment as well as HVAC/EMCR to fit the process and design rules.
• Design process follows Swiss SIA and German HOAI stages (project basis, feasibility study, pre-design, basic engineering design, authority approval, submission and proposal, detailed design).
• Design of civil works structures using BIM methodology with BIM modelers.
• Participation in internal / external meetings and video conferences.
• Regular reporting to Project Managers.
