Job summary

State Street in Kraków is seeking a Junior Security Engineer to join Platform Security Solutions. The role focuses on expanding patching and vulnerability remediation through automation and orchestration, becoming a hands-on SME for Windows patch automation platforms and securing 25,000+ servers across hybrid landing zones.

You will collaborate with internal customers and stakeholders in multiple time zones, support and maintain both on‑prem and cloud infrastructure, and help the bank stay ahead

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in Windows admin/security roles.
• Basic Windows Server troubleshooting.
• Basic scripting (PowerShell or Python).
• Experience with Jira or ServiceNow.
• Ability to read and create technical documentation.
• Experience coordinating with stakeholders across time zones.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Security Engineer to join Platform Security Solutions organisation to enhance our patching and vulnerability remediation capabilities through automation and orchestration. The role holder will become a hands-on subject matter expert in Windows patch automation platforms like Tanium, WSUS, Azure Update Manager, securing 25000+ servers across hybrid landing zones and helping us transform the bank to be ready to face and respond to the new frontier AI threats at an unprecedented pace.

What You Will Do

The Junior Security Engineer will support and maintain the on-prem and cloud infrastructure which our products rely on, as well as interact with our internal customers to make sure we deliver on the promise of a more cyber resilient, user-friendly bank.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The role requires a minimum of three days per week working from the office and experience working with stakeholders in multiple time zones in a rapidly changing environment.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience as a Windows System Administrator, Security Analyst, Security Engineer or Technical Support Engineer
• Basic Windows Server troubleshooting skills
• Basic scripting skills (Powershell or Python)
• Experience working with ticketing systems like Jira or ServiceNow
• Ability to read and create technical documentation
• Experience working with stakeholders in multiple time zones in a rapidly changing environment
