Job summary

Cisco Systems Poland sp. z o.o. in Kraków is seeking a Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain high‑quality, scalable Python applications and data pipelines. You will contribute to engineering standards, drive best practices, and support the full SDLC in a distributed team across the US and Poland.

You will work with REST APIs, data processing, automation, and integrations, while applying modern software development workflows and testing strategies to deliver reliable software.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on software development experience with Python
• Strong knowledge of Python fundamentals and OOP concepts
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and external integrations
• Ability to write readable, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Familiarity with Git and modern software development workflows
• Proficient in SQL and databases
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to break problems down
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies on the job
• Nice to have: dashboards or data visualizations (Grafana, Tableau, Splunk)
• Experience with Airflow, Snowflake, dbt, or other data tech

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Python applications, services, and data pipelines
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested Python code
• Work with APIs, data processing, automation, and integrations
• Debug and troubleshoot issues and participate in code reviews
• Work with Airflow, Snowflake, dbt, AWS, CI/CD, and containerized environments
• Use AI-assisted tools to improve coding and productivity
