ZF Group in Poland is seeking a Junior Program Buyer (m/f/d) to support program launches within Electronics Portfolio. You will work in a global team with opportunities for professional growth in a dynamic, rapidly developing organization.

The role involves driving on-time launches, cost-conscious sourcing, and close collaboration with engineering, suppliers and internal teams to achieve quality, cost and timing targets. Hybrid work model offered.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (supply chain, engineering, business) required.
• 1+ year of relevant work experience; leadership of cross-functional teams is a plus.
• Solid understanding of financials as they relate to program launches and ability to analyze data.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure on-time program launches and delivery at or below target cost for piece price, tooling, etc.
• Collaborate with the project team to meet targets for quality, delivery and other cost areas; coordinate with engineering, commodity managers, supplier development engineers, program managers.
• Ensure sourcing activity aligns with cost targets and purchasing processes (global bidder's list); coordinate commodity strategies with program goals.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings with suppliers to improve program cost and delivery through design and development.
• Lead after-selection development and launch of new suppliers; conduct negotiations with the commodity team.
• Identify and implement cost savings through engineering changes, VAVE, lean activities and re-sourcing.
• Represent Purchasing at reviews (sourcing committee, design review, launch readiness, program review); liaise with Portfolio, Engineering, and Commodity Purchasing.

About the Team

This position is the Purchasing representative to the project team responsible for program launches within Electronics Portfolio (ECU/EPP business). Candidate will have the opportunity to work in a global team in a newly set up Chassis Electronics Division. What you can look forward to as Junior Program Buyer (m/f/d):

• Ensure on-time launch for programs and delivery at or below target cost for piece price, tooling, etc.
• Work effectively with the project team to meet targets for quality, delivery and other cost areas. Work with engineering, commodity managers, supplier development engineers, program managers, to ensure supplier performance and deliverables are met and to identify cost and timing issues and resolve them. Work with engineering, commodity managers, supplier development engineers, program managers, to ensure supplier change requests are properly managed to meet agreed execution date.
• Ensure sourcing activity is in line with cost targets and Purchasing processes (global bidder’s list), driving the coordination of commodity strategies with the goals of the individual programs.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings including suppliers to improve program cost and delivery through design and development.
• Following selection, participate in the development and launch of new suppliers and conduct negotiations for/with the commodity team.
• Coordinate / lead efforts to identify and implement cost savings opportunities and meet assigned cost targets in the area of engineering changes, VAVE, lean activities and re-sourcing activities.
• Represent Purchasing at a variety of reviews related to program launch (sourcing committee, design review, launch readiness review, program review, etc.). Liaise between and lead Portfolio, Engineering, Commodity Purchasing on key strategic purchasing topics.

Your profile as Junior Program Buyer (m/f/d):

• Bachelor Degree required, prefer course of study in supply chain management, engineering, business or other related field relevant to Purchasing.
• 1+ years of relevant work experience. Prior experience leading teams, including cross-functional teams.
• Must have solid understanding of financials as they relate to program launch and demonstrated ability to gather, analyze financial data to formulate recommendations.
• Global experience highly preferred, especially AP, EU and Mexico.
• Must have advanced skills in Excel and be proficient in other software programs (Word, PowerPoint) and SAP and/or QAD.
• Prior negotiation skills, including responsibility as primary spokesperson for supplier negotiations desired.
• Must be able to conduct negotiations with suppliers as well as internal customers to achieve expectations related to cost, quality and timing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language, Polish nice to have.
