People More in Kraków is seeking a Junior Backend Developer to join our remote-friendly team building Kotlin/Spring Boot services for diverse clients. You will collaborate with senior engineers, participate in code reviews, and contribute to automated tests in an AI-assisted environment.

Qualifications

Commercial experience in software development (1-3 years preferred).
Knowledge of Kotlin or strong Java experience with willingness to work in Kotlin.
Understanding of Spring Boot fundamentals.
Basic knowledge of REST APIs and microservices.
Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
Understanding of software engineering principles and clean code.
Very good English and Polish.

Responsibilities

Support the development of backend services using Kotlin and Spring Boot.
Participate in implementing new functionalities within the Accounting Engine platform.
Collaborate with senior developers and architects on technical solutions.
Contribute to code reviews and software quality initiatives.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and technical discussions.
Write and maintain automated tests.
Learn and apply best engineering practices, including TDD and Domain-Driven Design.
Work in an AI-assisted software development environment.
