EPAM Systems in Poland is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join a collaborative team. You will build Java-based components, write tests, and contribute to RESTful services in an Agile environment.

This role offers a hybrid work model with three days per week in the office at Kraków, Wrocław, or Gdańsk, providing flexibility while maintaining strong team connection and in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in Java development
• Experience writing unit tests with JUnit
• Proficient in SQL and relational databases
• Familiar with REST concepts and APIs
• Hands-on with Git version control
• Experience with Spring Boot frameworks
• Basic knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
• Understanding of CI/CD fundamentals
• Strong English communication (B2+)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java components under guidance
• Write clean, well-structured code following standards
• Implement and consume RESTful APIs as part of tasks
• Write unit tests to ensure code reliability
• Participate in code reviews and team ceremonies in Agile
• Collaborate with developers, QA and business analysts
• Utilize Git for version control and collaboration
• Investigate and fix bugs reported during testing or production
• Contribute to continuous learning and growth within the team
