Job summary

Aptiv in Kraków is seeking a finance professional on a fixed-term contract to manage accounting and tax for entities in scope, ensuring US GAAP and local treatment.

You will lead month-end closing activities, prepare JVs and accruals, budgets and forecasts, and provide analyses and presentations for EMEA shared functions, while maintaining high-quality reporting and collaboration with the team. You will back up colleagues and deliver ad-hoc reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• Masters degree with major Accountancy, Finance, Economics.
• Knowledge of accounting standards.
• Experience in a similar position is nice to have.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Very good MS Excel skills.
• Knowledge of SAP, HFM.

Responsibilities

• Ensure US GAAP and local accounting/tax treatment for balance sheet and P&L for the entities in scope.
• Timely preparation of assigned accounting activities – e.g. JVs preparation, accruals calculation, providing posting instruction, issuing invoices, assigned financial month end closing activities.
• Preparation of Budgets and Forecasts, Actual reporting and analysis and calculations related to rebilling of APTIV shared costs in EMEA region.
• Actual reporting, Forecast and Budget preparation, Actual&Forecasts vs Budget analysis for multiple EMEA Corporate Corporate shared functions.
• Timely and accurately preparation of standards reports (e.g. OI, Restructuring, FX Exposure, Act&Fcst vs Bgt, variants comparisions).
• Prepare/provide other ad-hock calculations, reports and presentations depending on corporate needs within the area of team responsibilities.
• Back-up other team members in areas indicated by supervisor.
• Performing other task related to team responsibilities upon Supervisor’s request.
• On-time execution of assigned tasks in compliance with the valid quality system valid for APTIV corporation and Technical Center in Krakow.
