HL Mando Corporation Poland Sp. z o.o. in Wałbrzych is seeking a Junior Design R&D Engineer to create and manage 2D/3D drawings, lead prototype builds, and coordinate tests with global teams. You will develop procedures for R&D activities and oversee cross‑functional collaboration to meet project goals.

The role requires an engineering degree (mechanical preferred), CAD proficiency (CATIA/SolidWorks), and strong English communication. Familiarity with PLM systems and workshop practices is a plus.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficient in CAD (CATIA/SolidWorks).
• Strong English communication, both written and spoken.
• Experience reading and interpreting mechanical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Create, manage, and update 2D/3D drawings and release them in the PLM system.
• Design component modifications, develop jigs/fixtures, coordinate with suppliers.
• Develop and maintain work standards and procedures for R&D activities.
• Manage prototype builds: requirements, materials prep, stock, cross‑department coordination.
• Coordinate product/tests at component level; plan samples and document results.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in Poland, Germany, and Korea.
• Prepare development plans, test schedules, and report results.
• Lead technical reviews with stakeholders.
• Support prototype purchasing: issue requisitions, gather docs, assist invoices.

Junior Design R&D Engineer (M/F)

Job Description:

• Creating, managing, and updating 2D/3D technical documentation, including revising and releasing drawings through the PLM system.
• Designing and implementing component modifications, developing jigs and fixtures, and coordinating fabrication with internal and external suppliers.
• Developing, documenting, and maintaining work standards and procedures for R&D activities.
• Managing prototype builds, including requirements analysis, materials preparation and stock management, coordinating cross-departmental activities, actively participating in prototype fabrication, arranging delivery and supervising each stage of the process.
• Coordinating execution of product and components-level tests by analyzing specifications, planning test samples fabrication, cooperating with relevant testing engineer and accurately documenting and releasing test results.
• Working effectively with cross-functional teams, both internally and externally, to achieve project objectives. (Daily work with teams in Poland, Germany, and Korea)
• Preparation and management of development plans, test schedules, and comprehensive reporting of results.
• Leading technical reviews with internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting the prototype purchasing process by issuing purchase requisitions, gathering required documentation, and assisting in invoice settlement through document submission.

Requirements

• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Engineering degree (preferable mechanical engineering or related field)
• Ability to use CAD software (preferable CATIA, Solidworks)
• MS Office proficiency (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
• Capability to define and understand technical specifications for mechanical components.
• Ability to read and analyze mechanical and technical documentation effectively.
• Familiarity with workshop practices, tools handling, and materials properties gained through hands-on experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Responsible attitude towards achieving objectives and fulfilling assigned tasks on time.
• Very good organizational skills and attention to details
• Basic understanding of shock absorber function and operating principles
