Job summary

BOS Innovation and Technology Center is seeking a Mechanical/Automotive/Plastics engineer for CATIA V5 design, GD&T and documentation in a hybrid Katowice role. You’ll create and update 3D models, manage drawings, BOMs and ECOs across cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates hold a mechanical/automotive/plastics degree or equivalent, with hands-on design experience, DFM knowledge, and proficiency in PDM/PLM systems. Strong collaboration and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or technical qualification in Mechanical/Automotive/Plastics.
• Hands-on experience in product design and development, preferably automotive/manufacturing.
• Strong CATIA V5 skills for 3D modeling, assembly design and 2D drafting.
• Experience designing plastic parts and assemblies with DfM principles.
• Knowledge of injection molding processes and tooling limitations.
• Understand GD&T and tolerancing management.
• Familiar with PDM/PLM engineering documentation processes.
• Able to collaborate with manufacturing, tooling and project teams.
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Detail-oriented, analytical, proactive and eager to learn.
• Enjoys international, cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Create and update 3D models and 2D drawings in CATIA V5 per standards.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation in PDM/PLM.
• Support design and development activities for automotive components and assemblies.
• Apply GD&T in technical documentation.
• Implement ECOs and update BOMs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust, cost-efficient solutions.
• Support prototype and sample build activities.
• Contribute to product improvement and continuous development projects.
