Job summary

Ten Square Games S.A. is looking for a Junior Data Scientist in Wroclaw to join a full-stack analytics team. You will gather requirements, design ELT workflows, and deliver insightful visualisations that inform game decision-makers.

You will work with data engineers to build pipelines and mature analytics practices, using Python and Postgres/Vertica to analyse large datasets and optimise player income.

Qualifications

• Quantitative academic background in data science, mathematics, CS, econ analytics or econometrics.
• Hands-on university projects, internships, or first commercial experience.
• Solid statistics foundation and data-driven mindset.
• Full-time availability, interest in games, and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in end-to-end data journey from ELT to dashboards.
• Collaborate with data engineers to build game data pipelines.
• Develop user-friendly dashboards and support adoption.
• Set KPIs and run A/B tests to optimise player revenue.
• Perform exploratory and statistical analyses using Python.

This position may not be right for you if you:

Come from different academic backgrounds than data science, mathematics, computer science, economic analysis, or econometrics;

Lack a solid foundation in statistics;

Have no experience with SQL or databases;

Are not comfortable analyzing large datasets;

Are not interested in games;

Are not available full‑time.

What will you be doing?

We work as “full-stack” analysts. You will be responsible for the entire data journey - from gathering requirements and designing ELT workflows to delivering final visualisations;

You will play an active role in shaping the future of the game title by proactively sharing insights with the game team, suggesting process improvements, and shaping analytics practices;

You will work closely with our data engineers to design, build, and maintain game data pipelines, aligning them with specific reporting and analytics requirements;

More specifically, in this role, you will learn how to:

understand product and data‑related needs, and effectively collect requirements, then plan the end‑to‑end process;

learn how to develop and maintain user‑friendly dashboards and support others in using them effectively;

set KPIs and implement A/B tests to optimise player income throughout the game lifecycle;

use Python to conduct exploratory and statistical analyses and tackle product problems such as matchmaking, player segmentation, and more.

What are we looking for?

Academic background in a quantitative field such as data science, mathematics, computer science, economic analytics, econometrics, or a related field;

Hands‑on experience through university projects, internships, or first commercial experience;

Knowledge of SQL (we use Postgres and Vertica );

Working knowledge of Python , including analytical libraries;

Basic statistical knowledge;

Availability for full‑time work;

A data‑driven critical thinker with analytical experience;

Proactive and results‑driven;

Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyse large datasets;

Passion for games ;

Fluent in English and Polish.

Amaze us with:

Olympiad achievements (e.g., in mathematics or computer science);

Exposure to A/B testing;

Exposure to Python.
