Job summary

Ten Square Games is seeking a Tech Lead to own the technical quality of Fishing Clash and elevate the engineering culture across the team. You will collaborate with Engineers, Producers, Product Managers, QA, and other disciplines to improve technical health and long-term success of the game.

You will mentor engineers, drive architectural excellence, and help scale systems for live services, with a hybrid work model in Wroclaw and remote work options.

Qualifications

• Experience with Unity features such as URP, Addressables, UI Toolkit, Job System, Burst.
• Strong C# and .NET knowledge, memory management and async.
• Experience designing scalable mobile F2P game architectures.
• Familiarity with Android- and iOS-specific requirements, including ANRs, crash rates, and SDK deprecation deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own engineering standards and technical quality across the game and the team.
• Drive maintainable architecture, clean code, performance optimization, and engineering best practices.
• Improve technical KPIs: stability, performance, memory usage, and crash rates.
• Identify technical debt, risks, dependencies, and long-term maintainability concerns, and drive improvements.
• Decide on technical implementation approaches within product constraints; review proposals and guide implementation.
• Mentor engineers at different seniority levels and promote best practices.
• Support hiring and onboarding of engineers; collaborate with Head of Product, PMs, QA on execution.

What is this job all about?

We’re looking for a Tech Lead who will take ownership of the technical quality of Fishing Clash and help build a stronger engineering culture across the team. This role is focused on technical leadership, engineering excellence, and developing other engineers.

You will work closely with Engineers, Producers, Product Managers, QA, and other disciplines to improve the game’s technical health, optimize development effectiveness, and ensure that technical decisions support the long-term success of the game.

What will you be doing?

Own engineering standards and technical quality across the game and the team;

Drive technical excellence through maintainable architecture, clean code, performance optimization, and engineering best practices;

Improve technical KPIs, including stability, performance, memory usage, and crash rates;

Identify technical debt, risks, dependencies, and long-term maintainability concerns, and proactively drive improvements;

Decide on technical implementation approaches within agreed product and delivery constraints;

Review technical proposals, challenge solutions, and guide implementation to ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability;

Support production stability and help troubleshoot complex technical issues when needed;

Mentor and coach engineers at different seniority levels, helping them define development goals and improve their skills through regular feedback;

Promote engineering best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning;

Support the hiring and onboarding of engineers;

Partner with the Head of Product, PMs, Producers, and QA on technical execution, game optimization, and development effectiveness;

Communicate technical risks, trade-offs, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders;

Collaborate with other Tech Leads across the company to follow technical guidelines and share knowledge, best practices, and learnings.

What are we looking for?

Good knowledge of modern Unity features and workflows, including URP, Addressables, UI Toolkit, Job System, and Burst Compiler;

Solid understanding of C# and .NET, including memory management and async programming;

Experience designing scalable and maintainable architectures for mobile F2P games;

Familiarity with Android- and iOS-specific requirements, including but not limited to ANRs, user-perceived crash rates, and SDK deprecation deadlines;

Strong drive for continuous learning and improvement, with a proactive approach to exploring new technologies, challenging existing solutions, and improving engineering practices.
