Job summary

SoftwareOne is seeking a Junior Cybersecurity Analyst to join the Security Operations team in a remote role. You will monitor security events, support incident responses, and expand your knowledge of Microsoft cloud security tools while collaborating with international teams.

The position offers hands-on experience from day one, with mentoring and opportunities to gain certifications and grow within a global cybersecurity community.

Qualifications

• Initial experience in similar role with external client exposure.
• Basic understanding of cloud, SIEM, and SOAR tools.
• Familiarity with Windows Security and Office 365.
• Certifications such as SC-200/300/400, MS-10/2, AZ-10/4, AZ-500, ITIL Foundation, or CompTIA Security+.
• Analytical, proactive learner with ownership and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts using Microsoft Sentinel and 365 Defender tools.
• Perform initial triage of incidents and escalate issues when needed.
• Support incident response documentation and playbook execution.
• Contribute to developing and updating response workflows and knowledge bases.
• Collaborate with global SOC teams and communicate clearly with clients.
• Keep learning and experimenting with new security tools and techniques.

What we need to see from you

• Initial experience in similar role, ideally with direct exposure to the external client
• Basic understanding of cloud, SIEM, and SOAR tools (Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Defender for Cloud Apps)
• Familiarity with Windows Security, Office 365, and threat intelligence concepts
• Nice to have: one or more relevant certifications, such as:
• SC-200/300/400 (highly valued)
• MS-10 2, AZ-10 4, AZ-500
• ITIL Foundation
• CompTIA Security+
• Analytical, problem-solving mindset combined with curiosity and a proactive approach to learning independently
• Responsible, team-oriented attitude with a strong sense of ownership and collaboration
