Job description

Custody Transaction Processing Department is currently looking to fill a specialist role in Global Settlement team that will be tasked with supporting migration of new Client. Embarking on this journey, you will be responsible for trade settlement, safekeeping reconciliation, supporting internal stakeholders for settlement related queries. With time you become subject matter expert and will get more complexed and responsible tasks.

Citi Custody is responsible for the safekeeping and servicing of equity assets of our clients. Being a custodian bank, we facilitate the settlement process of our client’s securities transactions, manage and process corporate actions as announced by the issuers of these securities, and assist our clients with capital gains tax payment and reclamation.

Custody Transaction Processing Department is at the forefront of our Custody service, as it ensures that the clients’ settlement instructions are appropriately received and screened, which in turn allows them to settle in the market that we will promptly reflect on the clients’ accounts. Citi Global Custody owns and manages its own Network and provides asset servicing and transactions function primarily to intermediaries such as Broker Dealers, Banks, and other global investors.

The overall objective of this role is to assist in the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

Responsibilities
  • Securities transaction processing in accordance with prevailing market and client deadlines, Citi Group and SWIFT standards, local market standards, Internal procedures
  • Perform trade verifications to ensure accuracy of booking requests
  • Reporting – preparing various reports (ad hoc as well as regular reports) for several stakeholders
  • Ensuring STP (Straight Through Processing) settlement.
  • Aligning with Risk and Controls procedures for daily activities.
  • Meeting assigned KPI's, deadlines according to internal procedures
  • Complete pre-settlement tasks and daily rate revaluations accurately and on time
  • Coordinate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution
  • Building safe environment to test new solutions and encourage outside the box thinking
  • Contributing to improvement of the quality and efficiency of assigned tasks and processes
What we are looking for
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in relevant field in custody, securities, transaction processing or settlement
  • Fluency in English (C1 level)
  • Fundamental understanding of treasury products, accounting and regulatory policies
  • Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance is a plus
  • Experience with SWIFT is a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of macros (VBA) is a plus
