Working as part of Elevate’s Global Delivery Centre in Krakow, the successful candidate will collaborate with the client’s legal teams and colleagues across international offices. The role combines analytical judgement, attention to detail and the use of document review technology to deliver accurate, consistent and timely work.

The position is suitable for candidates with relevant document review experience, as well as graduates who demonstrate strong analytical ability and the capacity to learn and apply review principles following training. Training and guidance will be provided on matter-specific requirements, review protocols and relevant technology.

Please, be aware that only Poland-based candidates with valid work permit will be considered for the role.

Specifically, Junior Commercial Attorney will

  • Review and analyse documents to determine their relevance to a matter and identify the issues they address, applying agreed review instructions consistently.
  • Identify and elevate significant or potentially case-critical documents.
  • Assess documents for confidentiality and potential legal privilege, applying matter-specific guidance and referring uncertain assessments to senior reviewers.
  • Categorise and code documents accurately within the review platform, recording decisions in accordance with the applicable review protocol.
  • Maintain agreed productivity and quality standards, balancing review pace with careful analysis and consistent decision-making.
  • Raise clear, focused questions where instructions are unclear and elevate issues that may affect the quality, consistency or progress of the review.
  • Incorporate quality‑control feedback and adapt promptly to changes in review instructions or priorities.
  • Use document review platforms and, where appropriate and authorised, AI‑enabled tools to support efficient delivery.
  • Maintain accurate review records and progress updates, and record time daily in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior reviewers, project leads and international legal teams to meet project deadlines and service levels.
  • Handle sensitive information in accordance with confidentiality, information security and client requirements.

Experience

  • Previous experience in litigation document review, disclosure or e‑discovery would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Experience assessing documents for relevance, issue classification, confidentiality or potential legal privilege would be beneficial.
  • Candidates with experience in other structured legal document review work are encouraged to apply where they can demonstrate transferable analytical skills and the ability to follow detailed review instructions.
  • Familiarity with Relativity or another document review platform would be an advantage.
  • Experience working to defined quality standards and productivity expectations, and incorporating reviewer feedback, would be beneficial.
  • Experience supporting international legal teams or cross‑border matters would be advantageous.
  • Graduates without prior document review experience will also be considered where they demonstrate sound judgement, attention to detail and the ability to learn and apply review criteria consistently.

Skills for success

  • Strong analytical and reading comprehension skills, with the ability to identify relevant information and understand documents in the context of a wider matter.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to make careful, consistent review decisions across large volumes of documentation.
  • A basic understanding of legal privilege, or the ability to learn and apply the relevant principles with guidance.
  • The ability to understand review instructions quickly and recognise when clarification or escalation is needed.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills, including the ability to maintain focus and meet agreed deadlines and productivity expectations.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including confidence in asking questions and raising concerns promptly.
  • A collaborative approach and openness to feedback, with the ability to adapt when review instructions or priorities change.
  • Confidence using technology and the ability to learn new document review software quickly.
  • Accountability for the accuracy of work, daily time recording and timely progress reporting.
  • A strong commitment to confidentiality, professional standards and continuous learning.
