Job summary

Luxoft in Wroclaw is seeking a backend engineer to design and build distributed services and event-driven workflows. You will work with Java, Python, Kafka, Flink and Flowable to create scalable solutions for the Operations Platform, ensuring reliability and security across enterprise systems.

Join a hybrid team with 3 days onsite in Wroclaw or Krakow, contributing to API design, microservices architecture and continuous delivery practices. Banking or financial services familiarity is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Java development.
• Strong Python fundamentals.
• Hands-on Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Flink for distributed data processing.
• Flowable/BPM workflow development knowledge.

Project Description:

Develop distributed backend services and event-driven solutions for the client Operations Platform, enabling scalable, secure, and reliable processing across enterprise systems.

Responsibilities:

Design and build microservices, APIs and workflow solutions using Java, Python, Kafka, Flink and Flowable; support delivery, testing, troubleshooting and production readiness.

Mandatory Skills Description:

• Strong experience with Java development
• Good understanding of Python
• Hands-on expertise in Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures
• Experience with Flink and distributed data processing
• Knowledge of Flowable/BPM workflow development
• API design, integration and microservices architecture expertise

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• CI/CD and DevOps practices
• Kubernetes and containerization technologies
• Banking or financial services experience
• Performance tuning and distributed systems troubleshooting
