Job summary

Luxoft in Krakow is seeking a backend engineer to design and build distributed services. You will work on Java and Python microservices, Kafka-based event streams and Flowable BPM workflows.

Hybrid work: 3 days in the office (Krakow or Wroclaw) with remote options, collaborating with a cross-functional team to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable enterprise solutions. Responsibilities include shaping APIs, supporting deployment pipelines, and ensuring production readiness across services.

Qualifications

• MUST have strong experience with Java development.
• MUST have good understanding of Python.
• Hands-on expertise in Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Flink and distributed data processing.
• Knowledge of Flowable/BPM workflow development.
• API design, integration and microservices architecture expertise.

Develop distributed backend services and event-driven solutions for the client Operations Platform, enabling scalable, secure, and reliable processing across enterprise systems.

Responsibilities:

Design and build microservices, APIs and workflow solutions using Java, Python, Kafka, Flink and Flowable; support delivery, testing, troubleshooting and production readiness.

Mandatory Skills Description:

• Strong experience with Java development
