Job summary

Sii Poland seeks a Java Architect to join a team delivering a large-scale Java application for Germany's largest loyalty program. You will analyze requirements, design robust solutions, and own features end-to-end within an enterprise monolith.

Collaboration with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineers will be essential to ensure high-quality software delivery. The role requires working from the client's office in Warsaw once a month and a strong background in backend Java, Spring

Qualifications

• Extensive backend experience in large-scale enterprise apps.
• Minimum 10 years in backend development.
• 5+ years with Java in large-scale enterprise apps.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring/Spring Boot, OO design, clean code.
• Experience with Java 17/21 and Docker.
• Understanding of architecture, performance, maintainability.
• Experience with automated testing (unit/integration).
• Familiarity with CI/CD and modern delivery practices.
• Fluent Polish and English; residency in Poland.

We are looking for a Java Architect to join a team working on a large-scale Java application for Germany's largest loyalty program. You will own features end-to-end, collaborating closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and other engineers to ensure high-quality software delivery. Your tasks

• Develop and maintain a large-scale Java application running in the cloud
• Analyze business requirements and production issues to design robust, maintainable solutions
• Contribute to the continuous evolution of a complex enterprise monolith
• Own features end to end, from requirements analysis through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and other engineers
• Communicate technical concepts and solution proposals clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Create and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality and support continuous delivery
• Contribute to application architecture by supporting architectural design and proposing improvements

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in backend software development
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Java in large-scale enterprise applications and complex codebases
• Solid knowledge of Java, Spring/Spring Boot, object-oriented design principles, and clean code practices
• Experience with Java 17/21 and Docker
• Strong understanding of application architecture, performance optimization, and maintainability
• Experience with automated testing, including unit and integration tests
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices
• Advanced level of Polish and English and residency in Poland

Nice to have

• Experience working with AWS Cloud or another major cloud provider
