Job summary

DSV Air & Sea SAU in Warsaw invites an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the IT/Digital PMO. You will lead complex enterprise IT projects, collaborate with Business and IT, and drive strategic initiatives across functions.

You will work in a hybrid model, manage budgets, report to senior management, and coordinate with global stakeholders. A background in Prince2 or SAFe is preferred, with 6+ years in large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• +6 years of IT experience with large corporate projects.
• +6 years of experience running large projects, with ability to navigate between Business and IT.
• Understanding of Prince2 and SAFe frameworks; certification is an advantage.
• Based around Warsaw, Poland; hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects assigned to you and uphold the mandate.
• Secure project governance according to PMO framework.
• Manage stakeholders across functions, at all levels and regions.
• Coordinate third-party or customer representatives on end-point changes.
• Oversee the development process from business case initiation to implementation.
• Monitor budgets and control project spending across teams.
• Provide bi-weekly status reports to Senior Management and Project Board.

In the DSV Group Project Management Office (PMO), you will be a part of a group of 160+ highly professional colleagues placed all over the world. Our mission is to provide high-quality services and handle projects for the DSV organization, supporting business and group functions in executing global strategies.

IT/Digital PMO is a department in Group PMO focusing on strategic, cross-functional and complex projects with a high degree of IT involved. You will have access to a wealth of knowledge and work closely with our PMO management team as well as senior stakeholders from e.g., Business Divisions, Business Change Management, IT and Finance.

We are placed in DSV’s amazing facilities in Warsaw together with 30+ colleagues. We focus on professionalism in our project execution and develop this in a strong learning environment.

Lead complex projects linked to our strategy

At DSV we continue to grow across all areas of the organization. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for running complex enterprise-level projects or programs that mainly revolve around our Global IT Organization and are linked directly to the DSV strategy.

You will be leading projects that mainly will be related to our Enterprise Integrations organization or our Enterprise Operations organization with the objective of implementing and evolving integration platform services, network or infrastructure solutions, often spanning multiple teams and workstreams, and require active management of dependencies beyond the immediate project scope.

You will typically manage single large-scale projects or 2-3 medium size projects at a time. The role involves close cooperation with the project stakeholders like team members in the project, DSV Group Business and IT, cross-functional stakeholders, and Senior and Executive Management, as well as with the IT/Digital PMO Cluster Lead.

Specifically, you will:

• Take leadership of the projects assigned to you and uphold the mandate given to you.
• Excel in securing project governance according to our PMO framework.
• Excel in stakeholder management across functions, at all levels of the organization, and across the world.
• Work with third party and/or customers representatives in technical end-point changes.
• Handle the development process across all project stages - from initial business case initiation up to an operational implementation of changes.
• Handle budgets and ensure close control of project spending across multiple teams.
• Translate complex statuses to comprehensive, fact-based reports, which you deliver to Senior Management and Project Board, providing project updates and insights on a bi-weekly basis.

Solid IT experience as Senior Specialist, Senior Project Manager or Leader

This role requires great interpersonal- and communication skills at all levels of the organization as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships. You know how to maneuver across the organization, and while you use your coaching skills in your interactions, you also know how to stand your ground when others challenge you.

Finally, you:

• Have +6 years of IT experience with large corporate projects or
• Have +6 years of experience running large projects, with a good understanding of IT Project Management, and with the ability to navigate between both Business and IT
• Understand project management models i.e. Prince2 and/or agile frameworks such as SAFe - a certification is an advantage
• Are already based around Warsaw in Poland and we are working in hybrid model
