Job description

We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join our international, multidisciplinary engineering team, working on the development of a new Java-based application leveraging Apache Kafka for real-time data processing. You will act as the bridge between the business stakeholders (Product Owners, Treasury, Operations) and the development team, ensuring that functional requirements are clearly defined, aligned with business objectives, and accurately implemented.

The project focuses on cash accounts, loro & nostro accounts management, including account balance management, account statements generation, and potential interest calculation logic.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant in the banking or financial services domain.
  • Strong understanding of Cash account management, Nostro / Loro accounts, Account position keeping, and interest computation.
  • Experience with functional specification writing, data modeling, and business process definition.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong sense of teamwork and collaboration in international environments.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Treasury or Back-Office Operations systems.
  • Knowledge of accounting flows and cash reconciliation processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Understanding of APIs, batch processes, and database concepts.
  • Experience with microservice architecture and real-time data pipelines.
Responsibilities:
  • Requirements Analysis & Specification
    • Collect, analyze, and document functional requirements related to cash, nostro, and loro accounts.
    • Collaborate closely with Product Owners and business users to define the target functional model for account position keeping, statement generation, and interest calculation.
    • Write detailed Functional Specifications Documents (FSD) and User Stories for the development team.
    • Ensure functional consistency across upstream and downstream systems (e.g. accounting, treasury, and reconciliation tools).
    • System Design Support
    • Work with developers and solution architects on data flows, messaging models, and integration points using Apache Kafka.
    • Validate data model definitions and event schemas (Kafka topics) for cash and nostro transactions.
    • Participate in design reviews to ensure that business logic is properly implemented in the Java services.
  • Testing & Validation
    • Define acceptance criteria and participate in functional testing.
    • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) with business teams.
    • Analyze discrepancies and contribute to defect prioritization and resolution.
  • Stakeholder Management માંગ
    • Serve as the main contact between business stakeholders, development teams, and project management.
    • Facilitate functional workshops and alignment meetings with the Treasury and Operations departments.
    • Ensure that all functional deliverables meet both business objectives and regulatory requirements.
