Job summary

ABB is seeking an IS Service Owner to drive firewall and network security initiatives in Kraków. You will manage FCA processes, oversee NGFW and IPS/IDS technologies, and coordinate with external teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.

The role involves leading security projects, designing network solutions, and maintaining ABB’s security guardrails across IT operations. Strong English communication and 10+ years in information security are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
• 10+ years of Information/Network Security experience including 3–4 years in Firewalls and policy management.
• Experience with global OEMs such as Cisco, Check Point, Palo Alto, AKAMAI, Zscaler, NetSkope, Algosec.
• Strong knowledge of NGFW technologies, VPNs, and Zero Trust Network Access.
• Proficient communication in English (oral and written).
• CCNP level networking knowledge and ability to work with security policy tools.

Responsibilities

• Approve and manage Firewall Change Requests (FCA) ensuring compliance with ABB standards.
• Oversee operation of Firewall management tools including configuration and optimization.
• Train and manage external team members on FCA to maintain high SLA.
• Lead projects related to Firewall, IPS/IDS, or Remote Access services.
• Maintain expertise in NGFW and IPS/IDS technologies from leading vendors.
• Contribute to network design and planning with stakeholders.
• Document procedures and services for compliance and clear communication.
• Support business teams with security guardrails based on ABB standards.
