Job summary

Nord Security seeks an experienced Mobile Security Engineer to advance our iOS security testing and secure development practices. You will perform reviews, vulnerability assessments, and instrumentation development to strengthen protection across our mobile ecosystem.

The role requires hands-on expertise with Frida, MobSF, Burp Suite, and MASVS/MASTG alignment, plus strong Swift/Objective-C skills and a security‑minded mindset. Remote work options available, international scope.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mobile application security assessment planning, testing, methodologies, and vulnerability reporting, with a focus on iOS.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices.
• Ability to perform manual security code audit.
• Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C, reading C/C++ in dependencies.
• Knowledge of OWASP MASVS and MASTG and ability to plan/execute assessments against them.
• Solid understanding of iOS security model including sandboxing and entitlements.
• Hands-on experience with dynamic instrumentation and mobile testing tools like Frida, MobSF, Burp Suite, mitmproxy.
• Experience bypassing client-side controls and assessing resilience; networking basics; reverse engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security reviews of application designs, source code, and third‑party libraries/SDKs.
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments using automated tools and manual testing.
• Carry out end-to-end security assessments of iOS apps (static/dynamic analysis).
• Collaborate with development teams to design secure architectures and controls.
• Maintain security tooling, scripts, and processes for secure development.
• Stay current with industry trends and apply best practices in app security.
• Develop scripts and instrumentation to enhance mobile security testing.
• Deliver security engineering awareness training.
• Identify internal security gaps and support audits, including MASVS-aligned assessments.
