Job summary

Aviva's Services Excellence Centre in Warsaw invites students and graduates to join a 6-month paid internship focused on investment data controls within Clearwater and related finance processes. You will work hybrid from Poland, with some days at the Warsaw office, gaining practical exposure to investment operations and data management in a dynamic, international environment.

You'll collaborate with control managers, support reconciliations, and participate in data quality reviews.

Qualifications

• Student or graduate in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics or a related field.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Interest in investments, financial markets and data.
• Attention to detail with large data sets.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Performing daily investment data controls within Clearwater with support from control managers.
• Supporting reconciliations and reviews of cash suspense accounts, debtors and creditors balances, stock and cash reconciliations, and data attribute controls.
• Using investment knowledge to review, interpret and validate data quality with internal and external stakeholders.
• Cooperating with Clearwater provider and related systems.
• Supporting audit-related activities and collaborating with auditors when needed.
• Participating in finance and data-related projects as required by the business.
• Assisting the team with ad hoc tasks and responsibilities from the manager.

What will you be doing?

• Performing daily investment data controls within the Group’s financial assets database (Clearwater), with support from control managers
• Supporting reconciliations and reviews of cash suspense accounts, debtors and creditors balances, stock and cash reconciliations, as well as investment data attribute controls
• Using investment knowledge to support the review, interpretation and validation of data quality with internal and external stakeholders
• Cooperating with the provider of Aviva Group’s financial assets database (Clearwater)
• Supporting audit-related activities and working with auditors when required
• Participating in finance and data-related projects based on business needs
• Assisting the team with other ad hoc tasks and responsibilities assigned by the manager

What are we looking for?

• A student or graduate in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics or a related field
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good knowledge of MS Excel
• Interest in investments, financial markets and financial data
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately with large sets of data
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Availability for 3-4 days per week
