Job summary

Aptiv is seeking talented students to contribute to AI algorithm development for in-cabin sensing and related automotive data projects. You will support ML engineering activities, help collect and process large datasets, and build Python scripts to automate workflows.

Strong Python basics, a technical background, and excellent English are required, with a passion for data science and AI applications. Hybrid work is available to support your studies and project work.

Job description

We are searching for talented students who bring in new ideas and help to develop our next generation of AI algorithms. The team you will be working with is developing solutions for vehicle in-cabin sensing, to understand which seats are occupied, whether objects have been left behind or whether passengers are wearing their seat belt correctly, amongst many other topics. Your Role

• Support machine learning engineering activities in advanced automotive applications, including:
• Data collection planning and execution, preparation of data acquisition scenarios, conducting recording sessions and ensuring data quality
• Data preparation, upload, processing, validation and organization of large datasets
• Development of Python scripts and automation tools for data handling, analysis and workflow optimization
• Creation and maintenance of dashboards and reporting tools for data monitoring, visualization and project tracking
• Collaboration with international engineering teams

Your Backround

• Educational background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or related technical field
• Basic Python programming skills and willingness to further develop software competencies
• Very good command of English (written and spoken)
• Interest in data science, machine learning and AI applications
• Strong communication skills, openness to learning and proactive attitude
• Ability to manage multiple tasks
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of SQL and/or Elasticsearch
• Basic knowledge of cloud technologies and platforms
• Experience with data visualization or dashboarding tools
• Familiarity with machine learning workflows, data processing pipelines or data annotation activities
