Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks an Integration Architect / WebMethods Lead to own the end-to-end integration strategy across 13,000+ interfaces, spanning SAP hubs, webMethods, and SAP BTP CI. You will lead a multinational team coordinating interface patterns, reshape the middleware stack on AWS, and drive standardization with enterprise architecture boards.

You will guide regional delivery leads and engineers, ensuring seamless data flow during carve-out and cutover, with a Go-Live target of July 1, 2027.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of expert-level webMethods architecture in cloud/AWS.
• Proficiency in SAP BTP CI, API Management, and API-led connectivity.
• Deep knowledge of SAP ECC/S4HANA interfaces (IDocs, RFCs, OData).
• Experience leading large-scale interface transformations in M&A or cloud migrations.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher.

Responsibilities

• Define, govern, and execute the enterprise integration strategy with zero-downtime routing during carve-out and cutover.
• Architect, provision, and optimize the core middleware stack (webMethods, SAP BTP CI, Azure API Management) on AWS.
• Oversee interface inventory, reconcile discrepancies, map API calls, and manage tools registries (Ardoq).
• Establish standardized interface re-pointing, refactoring, and routing for SAP hubs and third-party apps.
• Design and manage interface-factory sequencing aligned with SAP migration waves and cutover schedules.
• Direct regional delivery leads and integration engineers across global regions.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture boards to enforce interface design standards.

Job description

We are seeking an Integration Architect / WebMethods Lead to serve as the accountable technical owner for a large-scale program's integration and interface landscape, spanning over 13,000 interface links with heavy concentration on SAP hubs, webMethods, SAP BTP CI, and third-party platforms. This program supports the complex separation and standalone migration of a global business unit, covering 600 applications across On-Premise, SaaS/Subscription, and Lab & OT environments, with a firm Go-Live date of July 1, 2027.
In this leadership role, you will own the end-to-end integration approach — including webMethods platform design on AWS, interface inventory management, re-point patterns for SAP and third-party interfaces, and interface-factory sequencing — while directing a team of regional delivery leads and integration engineers across multiple global regions.

Responsibilities

• Define, govern, and execute the enterprise integration strategy, ensuring seamless data flow and zero-downtime routing during carve-out and cutover phases
• Architect, provision, and optimize the core enterprise middleware stack (including webMethods, SAP BTP CI, and Azure API Management) on AWS landing zones
• Oversee the end-to-end interface inventory, reconciling discrepancies, mapping API calls, and managing tool registries (Ardoq)
• Establish standardized interface re-pointing, refactoring, and routing patterns for core SAP hubs (P24, P36, P45, etc.) and connected third-party applications
• Design and manage the interface-factory sequencing model, aligning integration delivery waves with core SAP migration waves and cutover schedules
• Direct regional delivery leads and integration engineers across multiple global regions, ensuring consistent execution and governance
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture boards to define and enforce interface design standards across the program

Requirements

• 5+ years of expert-level architecture and implementation experience in webMethods (API Gateway, Integration Server, Universal Messaging) deployed in cloud/AWS environments
• Proficiency in modern integration tooling, including SAP BTP Cloud Integration (CI), API Management, and API-led connectivity patterns
• Deep understanding of SAP ECC/S/4HANA interface architectures (IDocs, RFCs, OData) and experience integrating complex third-party SaaS and legacy portfolios
• Experience managing large-scale interface transformations, inventory audits, and wave-based integration sequencing in M&A separations or enterprise cloud migrations
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex integration streams, define interface design standards and collaborate with enterprise architecture boards and regional delivery teams
• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or integration-specific certifications
• Familiarity with life sciences, manufacturing, or animal nutrition industry supply chains and B2B EDI flows
