Capgemini is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer (Linux & Database) in Kraków to ensure the stability, performance, and reliability of critical transactional systems. You will work across Linux, databases, and automation tools, investigating issues and supporting day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

Polish and English fluency for international collaboration.
≈4 years in a similar role supporting transactional systems.
Hands-on Linux with strong command-line skills.
Relational databases expertise: SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL; complex queries.
Scripting: Bash or Python.
Basic Kubernetes knowledge and modern infrastructure familiarity.
Willing to work 8 days/month at Kraków client office, 8:00–18:00.
Experience with Docker and cloud platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

Monitor, support, and maintain transactional systems for stability and performance.
Investigate incidents and operational issues; provide resolution.
Work with Linux environments and command-line tools.
Analyze data in relational databases; create/execute complex SQL queries.
Develop scripts in Bash or Python to automate processes.
Support containerized and cloud environments, including Kubernetes.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure service delivery.
Perform data validation and updates when required.

Your profile

You are fluent in Polish and English, enabling effective communication in an international environment.
You have approximately 4 years of experience in a similar role supporting transactional systems.
You have strong hands‑on knowledge of Linux, including confident use of the command line.
You have strong knowledge of relational databases such as SQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL, and can write complex SELECT and UPDATE queries.
You have experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
You have a basic understanding of Kubernetes and modern infrastructure environments.
You are available to work from the client’s office in Kraków 8 days per month and can work within a schedule of 8:00–18:00, including an average of one working weekend per month (compensated with two additional days off).
Experience with Docker, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or within the financial services industry will be an advantage.
