Job summary

A technology consulting firm is seeking an Infoblox DNS/DHCP consultant to lead the migration of DHCP services from Microsoft to the Infoblox NIOS platform. This role involves planning and implementing migration strategies, documenting procedures, and collaborating with in-house teams. The ideal candidate must have over 5 years of experience in a DNS Engineer role, expertise in Infoblox NIOS, and a strong understanding of DNS/DHCP in enterprise environments. Familiarity with regulatory compliance is preferred.

Job description

The Infoblox DNS/DHCP consultant will be responsible for migrating DHCP services from Microsoft platform to Infoblox NIOS platform, in collaboration with in-house SME team. Also planning future DNS migration from AD integrated platform to Infoblox NIOS platform will be part of the work tasks.

The specific deliverables will include:

• Planning DHCP service migration
• Implementing DHCP service migration
• Documentation of migration procedures and best practices
• Create and ensure Change Mgmt. adherence
• Analyze and create migration plan for DNS service
• Knowledge transfer to Core Services SME team
• Technical consultation with SMEs on Infoblox platform configuration and optimization
• Analyze dependencies and possibilities between on-premises infrastructure and cloud services
• Support for SMEs and Platform Owner.

Must-have knowledge and experience:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a DNS Expert Engineer in enterprise infrastructure environments
• Deep technical expertise in Infoblox NIOS platform, configuration, and integration
• Solid expertise in Microsoft AD integrated DNS
• Proven experience migrating Microsoft AD integrated DNS and Microsoft DHCP platforms to Infoblox NIOS platform
• Strong understanding of DNS and DHCP services in enterprise infrastructure
• Experience with infrastructure service integration between on-premises and cloud environments
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical solutions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working within regulated environments with compliance requirements

Nice-to-have knowledge and experience:

• Knowledge of Microsoft DHCP platforms
• Familiarity with Agile/DevOps methodologies
• Previous experience working in financial services or similarly regulated industries
• Understanding of BCCM and DORA regulatory frameworks
