SkyePoint Decisions is a leading cybersecurity architecture and engineering provider headquartered in Dulles, Virginia.

This is a contingent position based upon contract win.

We are seeking an Incident Detection/Response Manager (SOC Manager) to support the Department of Education’s Federal Student Aid Cybersecurity and Privacy Support Services in Washington, DC. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Manage SOC daily activities, including building schedules and ensuring all documentation such as SOPs, playbooks, CONOPS are up to date.
• Lead Tier I/II/III incident response operations.
• Coordinate containment, eradication, and recovery activities.
• Lead post‑incident reviews and root cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with NIST SP 800‑61 and FSA incident response SOPs.
• Maintain coverage schedule per shift.
• Maintain call tree including contact information for all partner organizations and CSPs.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of IT experience with 4+ years in incident response.
• Active Secret clearance.
• Certifications: GCIH, GCFA, GREM, or similar.
• Experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, CDM, and malware analysis.
• Experience with operating systems and networking.
• Experience with AWS native services and tools.
• Experience managing SOC overseeing complex systems.
• U.S. Citizen.

Compensation

Salary Range: $100,000–$120,000.

This is a general guideline only and is part of the total compensation package.
