Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Tax Accounting Specialist to support income tax accounting activities, data extraction, and reporting within a global finance environment. The role emphasizes journal entries, rollforwards, and coordination with tax teams across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or controlling within a corporate environment.
• Experience with general ledger activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and period‑end close.
• Experience with ERP and reporting systems (Oracle, SAP, FCCS, ARCS, or similar).
• Very good Excel skills for reconciliations, rollforwards, and data analysis.
• Experience supporting SOX‑controlled processes, audits, or internal reviews is preferred.
• Comfortable investigating variances and coordinating resolution with stakeholders.
• Proactive, well‑organized, and willing to learn and grow within tax accounting.
• Able to collaborate effectively with global finance and tax teams.

Responsibilities

• SOX controls: execution, documentation & support.
• Prepare and maintain global tax account rollforward schedules.
• Post tax‑related journal entries, including accruals and adjustments.
• Support quarterly and annual income tax accounting processes and reporting requirements.
• Extract and validate tax‑related data from Oracle R12, FCCS, ARCS, and other systems.
• Compile tax activity and schedules for quarterly close and year end reporting.
• Collaborate with global finance teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities to streamline rollforwards, reconciliations, and data extraction.
