Job summary

Cisco ThousandEyes is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer (DevSecOps) in Production Engineering to design and manage large-scale, cloud-native systems. You will collaborate with application teams to improve reliability, performance, and security of our SaaS platform.

Responsibilities include incident response, automation, and scaling across regions using CNCF tools like Kubernetes, Prometheus, and ArgoCD, with a focus on secure, robust operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on in deploying and operating containerized workloads in production Kubernetes
• Troubleshooting Linux/Unix systems including networking, processes, filesystems

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software engineers to optimize architecture and services for availability and latency
• Design scalable operations tooling for multi-region growth
• Deploy and maintain AWS cloud-native services with resilience
• Participate in 24x7 incident response and on-call rotations
• Leverage Kubernetes, Service Mesh, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, ArgoCD for reliability
• Automate production operations to enforce guardrails
• Develop automation for scalable service and platform operations including deployment and chaos testing
• Stay updated on best practices to improve platform scalability
• Identify obstacles hindering operational excellence across teams
• Generalize solutions for repeatable success across microservices
• Play a key role in scale testing and environment expansion
• Manage infrastructure assets and infrastructure-as-code practices
