Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. in Kraków is seeking a SQL Developer to join our global technology team in the Alternatives group. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL Server databases to support business objectives in an Agile environment.

You will work independently on tasks while collaborating with teammates across locations to ensure high-quality, reliable database solutions. The role offers a hybrid work model with 3 days in the office and 2 days for parental leave

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of SQL: procedures, views, functions; joins and optimization.
• Experience in data modeling, normalization, constraints, referential integrity.

Responsibilities

• Use change-management and deployment practices to promote schema and code changes safely.
• Implement data validation, error handling, transaction management, and security controls.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases and related applications.
• Design, create, modify, and troubleshoot SQL queries, views, functions, and stored procedures.
• Assist with database management, performance tuning and optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders across a global team.
• Investigate and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
