Schibsted & Vend Polska is seeking two Junior or Mid JVM Backend Engineers to join the User Identity team in Kraków. You will design and build login and privacy features for Schibsted Account, focusing on seamless experiences while maintaining security and reliability.

We value curiosity, ownership, and willingness to learn. The role offers a hybrid work model in Kraków, with room to grow and contribute across production systems and infrastructure in AWS.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of software development experience
• Strong knowledge of JVM languages, Kotlin or Java
• Experience building services in AWS cloud
• Good collaboration, communication and problem-solving skills
• Curiosity and willingness to learn and take ownership

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new backend functionality for Schibsted Account
• Own and maintain production infrastructure in AWS with DevOps support
• Suggest improvements with maintainability in mind given the current stack
• Support day-to-day operations of the solutions
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders
