Job summary

Commerzbank Digital Technology Centre Poland in Łódź is seeking a Java-focused frontend/backend developer to build new web-based frontends and interfaces for digital banking products. You will work with React components and REST APIs in an agile team.

You will align with business analysts, participate in scrum ceremonies, resolve incidents, and contribute to test and development activities. Fluent English and Polish (B2) are expected, and continuous learning is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Strong Java/J2EE background with Spring framework experience.
• Good understanding of REST APIs and frontend interfaces.
• Knowledge of message queues, especially Kafka.
• Experience with unit testing, reliable and maintainable code.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum ceremonies.
• Fluent Polish and English at minimum B2 level.

Responsibilities

• Develop new web-based applications and frontends for digital banking products.
• Design interfaces to connect frontends to backends and data objects.
• Use React components and existing style guides to build UIs.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with analysts and operation experts.
• Support incident resolution, bug fixing, and testing efforts.
