Job summary

Asana is seeking a Data Scientist in Warsaw to help us ask the right questions and answer them rigorously. You’ll work with Product and Business teams to define core metrics, build ML models, and keep data flowing through our pipelines.

This role is based in our Warsaw office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. In-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with optional home days on Wednesdays and variable Fridays depending on work type.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a quantitative field.
• 3+ years applying data science to product development and decision-making.
• Strong background in statistics, mathematics, or related quantitative field.
• Fluency in Python or Scala for data processing.
• Proficiency with relational data modeling and SQL.
• Expertise in statistical methods and experimental design and analysis.
• Experience with measurement techniques for search ranking, relevance, or quality assessments.
• Experience with distributed data processing systems such as Spark or Redshift.
• Background in advanced statistical modeling and/or machine learning techniques.
• Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze experiments to measure the impact of new product features.
• Investigate high-level questions about team collaboration patterns and growth.
• Add metrics and aggregations to data warehouse to answer new classes of questions.
• Build models to predict growth trajectories for customer segments.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to drive data-informed decisions.
