Job summary

Mars UK, at the Sochaczew site, is seeking a Project Engineer Automation & Controls to lead capital investment projects focused on automation and digitalization. You will manage PLC/SCADA/MES projects, coordinate contractors, and ensure safety and quality standards.

Required: degree in automation/electrical engineering, 5+ years in automation/project delivery, and fluent English. The role offers hybrid working up to 50% and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Degree in automation, control systems, electrical engineering or related field.
• Strong controls engineering background in manufacturing environments.
• Minimum 5 years delivering capital investment or improvement projects.
• Experience with PLC platforms Siemens/Rockwell, including commissioning.
• Knowledge of SCADA, MES, industrial networks and digitalization.
• Ability to lead technical projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital investment projects from concept to commissioning and handover.
• Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and objectives.
• Manage automation and controls activities: PLC, SCADA, MES, networks.
• Define technical requirements and develop solutions with stakeholders.
• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure compliance with Mars standards, quality, food safety and regs.
• Provide engineering support to manufacturing and promote continuous improvement.
