Job summary

SHEIN is seeking an experienced HR compliance and employee relations leader to guide global and local teams. You will align employment practices with laws and governance, handle complex ER matters, and drive risk-based solutions.

This role requires fluency in English and Polish, strong analytical skills, and collaboration across HRBPs, Legal, and operations to implement policies, audits, and ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Polish employment law and cross-border exposure.
  • Proven experience handling complex ER matters, investigations and terminations.

Job description

  1. Own and drive HR compliance and employee relations matters within the assigned markets, providing practical and risk-based guidance to HRBPs, COEs and business stakeholders. Ensure employment practices, policies and people decisions are aligned with applicable employment laws, regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
  2. 2. Complex Employee Relations & Case Management
  3. Independently manage and advise on complex or higher-risk employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary matters, grievances, investigations, restructuring and termination scenarios. Assess legal and employee-relations risks, develop appropriate solutions and coordinate with HRBPs, Legal and external counsel where required.
  4. 3. Employment Law & Regulatory Compliance
  5. Monitor developments in employment legislation and regulatory requirements, assess their impact on existing HR practices, and translate legal requirements into practical policies, processes and controls. Support implementation of regulatory changes across relevant markets and ensure appropriate documentation and audit trails are maintained.
  6. 4. Standards, Policies & Compliance Frameworks
  7. Lead or materially contribute to the development, review and optimisation of HR compliance policies, standards, SOPs and governance frameworks. Drive consistency and scalability while ensuring appropriate adaptation to local legal requirements.
  8. 5. Risk Identification & Mitigation
  9. Proactively identify employment-related risks and control gaps across the employee lifecycle, including hiring, contractual arrangements, working conditions, performance management, employee relations and termination. Recommend proportionate preventive and corrective actions and follow through on remediation.
  10. 6. Compliance Reviews & Monitoring
  11. Support or lead periodic HR compliance reviews, audits and risk assessments. Track identified issues and remediation actions and provide clear visibility of key risks, trends and control effectiveness to relevant stakeholders.
  12. 7. Data Analysis & Management Insights
  13. Use employee relations and HR compliance data to identify recurring issues, emerging risks and process gaps. Develop meaningful reporting and provide actionable insights and recommendations to support management decision-making and continuous improvement.
  14. 8. Cross-functional & Cross-border Collaboration
  15. Partner closely with HRBPs, HR Operations/SSC, COEs, Legal, Privacy and other relevant functions on employment-related matters and regional initiatives. Coordinate effectively across jurisdictions and stakeholders to drive consistent and practical solutions.
  16. 9. Systems, Automation & AI Enablement
  17. Identify opportunities to improve HR compliance operations through technology, automation and AI. Lead or contribute to projects that improve case management, compliance monitoring, knowledge management, reporting and operational efficiency, while ensuring appropriate governance and human oversight.
Job Requirements:
  1. 1. Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in HR compliance, employee relations, employment law, HR advisory or a related field, ideally within a multinational or complex organisation.
  2. 2. Employment Law Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Polish employment law and employment practices, with demonstrated ability to interpret legal requirements and translate them into practical HR solutions. Exposure to employment matters across other European jurisdictions is strongly preferred.
  3. 3. Employee Relations Expertise: Demonstrated experience independently handling complex employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, disciplinary matters, grievances, organisational changes and employment terminations.
  4. 4. Compliance & Risk Management: Strong understanding of employment compliance frameworks, risk assessment and internal controls, with experience developing or improving HR policies, processes and governance mechanisms.
  5. 5. Analytical Capability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns and risks from HR/ER data and translate findings into practical recommendations.
  6. 6. Technology & AI: Comfortable working with HR systems, case-management tools and data/reporting platforms. Demonstrated interest in or experience applying automation and AI tools to improve HR processes and compliance operations.
  7. 7. Stakeholder Management: Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to provide clear, commercially practical and risk-based advice to HR and business stakeholders.
