Jacobs is seeking an HSE Specialist to coordinate the BeyondZero program in Poland, primarily based in Krakow. You will interface with the corporate H&S program, support local projects, and report to the Poland HSE Manager. Travel to project sites and meetings is possible as needed.

The role requires 2–5 years of OHS experience, degrees in safety, fluency in English, and a proactive, collaborative approach within a multinational infrastructure context.

Qualifications

• Master’s or engineering degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or higher) with postgraduate studies in OHS.
• Fluent/strong English communication required (min. B2).
• Strong hands-on training delivery skills in safety topics.

Responsabilités

• Perform occupational health and safety service tasks as defined by applicable regulations.
• Deliver HSE training program for Poland and coordinate with global safety networks.
• Conduct incident investigations and share lessons learned with teams.
• Advise managers on compliance monitoring and risk mitigation.
• Perform regular office/site safety inspections and support emergency preparedness.

HSE Specialist position will coordinate BeyondZero program in Poland. The role will have interfaces with corporate H&S program and network, and local projects including support to Global Design Centre in safety in design space. The role will be a part of the Poland HSE team reporting to the Poland HSE Manager.

The successful candidate must have initiative, energy, enthusiasm, and commitment and be flexible in work approach. Some travel to project sites and meetings would be required, though the primary work location will be Krakow.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform the tasks of the occupational health and safety service as defined in the Ordinance of 2 September 1997 on the service of safety and hygiene of work
• Performing routine work in a wide range of HSE disciplines applying legal requirements, standard procedures, and safety programs
• Conducting incident investigations and analysing/sharing lessons learned
• Delivering the H&S training program for Poland
• Advising and collaborating with managers and team leaders on compliance monitoring and safety issues to mitigate risks
• Conduct regular office/site safety inspections
• Supporting the execution of emergency preparedness programs
• Supporting Wellbeing strategy implementation, including the Mental Health Matters program
• Driving Beyond Zero culture initiatives and awareness activities
• Developing and strengthening our safety culture through training, meetings, and initiatives
• Interface with the wider European safety network, stakeholders, and functional partners at all levels of the organization
• Utilize company systems and resources to perform the responsibilities mentioned above.

Here’s what you’ll need

• Higher education (master’s degree or engineering degree) in Occupational Health and Safety or higher education + postgraduate studies (Occupational Health and Safety)
• 2-5 years of experience in OHS management
• Strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of OHS Regulatory requirements
• Strong hands‑on training delivery skills (Polish and English) and willingness to provide training on safety related topics
• Strong in English, both written and spoken (min. B2)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Polish and English
• Ability to interact and influence other engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels
• A “can-do” attitude and teamwork skills
• Working knowledge of Office software
• Flexibility to travel to other locations in Poland
• Field or construction safety experience will be an asset
• Willingness to develop in safety in design
