Job summary

Bright Path Professionals LLC is seeking an HR Manager to consult with multiple mission and church clients on strategic and tactical HR. This full-time, remote role supports 4-5 clients and requires work during US daytime hours.

You will lead HR programs from recruiting to compliance, partnering with client leadership to build warm, biblically-based workplace cultures and drive organizational effectiveness across diverse missions.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 7 years as HR Manager, including leading change in all areas of HR.
• A minimum of 5 years of HR leadership experience at a Christian mission or church.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Leadership, or equivalent HR experience.
• Hold a current US-based Professional HR certification (SHRM or HRCI preferred).
• Consulting experience is an asset.
• Proven ability to lead a wide variety of HR programs.
• Proven ability to coach and guide Executives on best people practices.
• Advanced skills in Google Suite, with the ability to quickly learn new software systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide Fractional HR Management for up to 5 Christian mission and church clients simultaneously.
• Work with clients’ Leadership to conduct HR audits, needs analysis and HR Strategic Plans.
• Design, implement and maintain HR programs in collaboration with client leadership.
• Oversee recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits, employee engagement, performance management, policies & compliance, training & development, organizational development and strategic coaching
• Advise on Employee Relations issues
• Architect and implement HRIS systems for clients
• Ensure HR compliance in all HR programs across US states and some international missions
• Always be learning, innovating, creating, and reaching for new ways to engage people in the client mission
• Provide in-house advice and support to Ministry HR Group team members
• Actively participate in Ministry HR Group discussions and meetings

Ministry HR Group is a Texas-based HR Consulting firm focusing on providing inviting, Biblically-based Human Resources solutions for Christian mission and church organizations who want engaging, caring cultures. We support specialized HR programs such as hiring for Statement of Faith alignment, Biblical conduct expectations, deputized fundraising, ministerial exceptions, furlow & sabbatical leave, Christian health benefit programs and more.

We are seeking an HR Manager to consult with multiple mission and church clients on strategic and tactical HR. The role is full time, W2 employee, remote and the company is based in Texas. Work will need to be accomplished during US daytime hours.

The HR Manager will support 4-5 mission and church clients by leading HR strategies and all HR programs. Acting as a consulting member of the client organizations’ management teams, the role advises on best people practices within wisdom and Christian ministry context. We support all areas of Human Resources for our clients, including recruiting, hiring, compensation, benefits, training and development, performance management, employee engagement, policies and compliance, Christian ministry guidance, and more. This role balances many areas to be successful: warmth within guidelines; ministry within government laws; truth and kindness; time, quality and cost; and client needs with best practices.

Please note that this position is remote for certain states.Working hours occur Monday through Friday, 35-40 hours per week. Hours will fluctuate based on client load.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Focus on extremely confidential, sensitive and emotional issues for several hours at a time
• Focus and analyze large spreadsheets, databases and reports of complex data for up to 4 hours at a time
• Maintain calm, focused and objective leadership in stressful, demanding or conflict-heavy situations for up to 4 hours per day
