We are looking for a HR Data Quality & Governance Lead to play a key role in enabling data-informed decision making through high quality data.

We're hiring in multiple European locations! The role can be performed in a hybrid model, and remote work can also be discussed. We'll adapt the setup to local practices so you can work in a way that helps you thrive.

In today's data-driven world, accurate and reliable people data is essential for data-informed decision making. As HR Data Quality & Governance lead, you will be leading the charge to ensure that our HR data is accurate, consistent and compliant. You will play a critical role in ramping up our data governance framework, maintaining data standards, understanding & optimizing the end-to-end HR data flow and enabling the organization to leverage its people data effectively.

You will be responsible for implementing our data governance framework, monitoring data quality and collaborating with stakeholders across HR, IT and other functions to ensure smooth processes through high quality data. Your work will directly contribute to our ability to make data-informed decisions with confidence and optimize HR processes.

What are your main tasks and responsibilities?
  • Data Governance framework development and implementation: Drive the data governance framework implementation in collaboration with Process Owners and create and maintain data standards.
  • Data Quality Monitoring and Improvement: Define and monitor key HR data quality KPI's and lead the creation of dashboards and reports to monitor data health to drive actions that ensure accuracy.
  • Map and optimise our HR data flows end to end: Document the full data journey, identifying ownership, interfaces and pain points.
  • Drive alignment on data governance: Act as the key HR contact point for corporate data governance in collaboration with the Head of People Analytics. Collaborate with process owners to ensure alignment with the Wärtsilä wide data governance ways of working and contribute to HR AI and Technology governance frameworks.
  • Support Global Payroll harmonisation project: Guide the project to translate local data needs into best practice global approaches.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with other HR CoE's, HR operations, IT, data privacy, legal, central data governance and our People Analytics team to ensure data quality and governance.
  • Process ownership: Act as process owner for changes in Employee/Employment data.

  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and methodologies.
