Job summary

Aon plc is seeking a Team Manager to lead a Health & Benefits operations team supporting the UK market. You will drive service delivery, develop talent, and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture.

You will recruit, onboard, coach, and develop 5–10 staff, set SMART objectives, monitor performance, and partner with stakeholders to improve processes and adapt to changing client needs. This role blends people leadership with operational excellence within a global organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience managing a team of approximately 5-10 employees.
• Strong customer service orientation and commitment to high-quality client outcomes.
• Proven leadership, coaching, and people development skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills using metrics and performance data.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations and ensure delivery against service levels and procedures.
• Set clear priorities, allocate work, and ensure team understands expectations.
• Monitor service quality, identify risks, and remove performance barriers.
• Build partnerships with local and onshore stakeholders for timely outcomes.
• Ensure processes are well documented and promote knowledge sharing and training.
• Analyze metrics and performance data to identify trends and improvements.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Lead projects, change initiatives, and transitions impacting the team.
• Support adoption of new processes and ways of working.
• Promote flexibility and adaptability to evolving requirements.
• Recruit, onboarding, coaching, and developing high-performing team members.
• Set SMART objectives and provide regular feedback, coaching, recognition.
• Manage performance, attendance, development, and succession planning.
• Create an inclusive, engaged, and accountable team culture.
• Communicate priorities effectively and act as a role model for the team.
