Job summary

KP Labs Ltd. in Gliwice, Poland, seeks a Head of Thermal and Mechanical Engineering to lead a department on ESA-grade space projects.

The role is full-time with hybrid work and requires a technical university degree and strong team leadership. You will oversee resources, coordinate thermal analyses, mechanical design, simulation, testing and documentation, and mentor the team while collaborating with systems, electronics and project management.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or similar.

• Experience managing a technical team or leading engineering in complex projects.

• Strong mechanical design and/or thermal analysis; CAD/FEA experience.
• 3
• Very good English; ECSS/TVAC/mechanical testing knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the thermal and mechanical engineering department; plan resources and priorities.
• Coordinate thermal analyses, mechanical design, simulation, testing and documentation for space systems and instruments.
• Support architecture, material and manufacturing choices; set engineering standards and review practices.
• Mentor the team and collaborate with systems, electronics, project management and AIVT.
