Job summary

DNV seeks an inclusive and proactive Head of Section for Solar & Battery Storage in Poland to guide the team in delivering high-quality consulting services across the project lifecycle. You will lead people, manage customer relationships and ensure disciplined delivery while aligning with the department’s strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. A technical or engineering degree is not mandatory.
• Several years of experience in consulting, professional services, renewable energy or another relevant customer-facing environment.
• Demonstrated people-leadership experience, including coaching, prioritisation and creating the conditions for a team to perform and develop.
• Experience with project delivery and operational management, such as planning, utilisation, forecasting, quality or financial follow-up.
• A strong customer and commercial orientation, with the ability to understand needs and turn them into practical solutions.
• An active interest in AI and digital tools, ideally supported by examples of improving services, processes or customer outcomes.
• Fluency in English is required; Polish language skills are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a diverse team; create an inclusive environment with clear expectations and accountability.
• Build trusted customer relationships and support the team in understanding needs, shaping solutions and delivering high-quality consulting assignments.
• Stay close to projects, identify risks early, remove obstacles and support colleagues in demanding delivery or customer situations.
• Take ownership of resource planning, utilisation, forecasting, project performance, quality and administration of the section.
• Maintain a strong sales focus by managing the opportunity pipeline and converting opportunities into sustainable growth.
• Drive responsible use of AI, data and digital tools to improve services and customer value.
• Collaborate across sections and locations to deploy capabilities and ensure a consistent customer experience.
