Job summary

Tripadvisor LLC in Kraków, Poland, is seeking a hands-on Cloud Security Engineer II (AWS, SecOps) to defend the Experiences platform. You will monitor the AWS environment, respond to incidents, and collaborate with engineers to build a more resilient cloud stack.

You’ll automate security tasks with Python or Go, tune WAF, GuardDuty, and Security Hub, and help secure code through threat modeling and secure coding guidance. Remote-friendly with permanent contracts.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience securing a production AWS environment.
• Experience with security monitoring and incident response lifecycle.
• Proficiency in Terraform for securing cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices.
• Experience with threat modeling and collaboration with engineers.
• Ability to automate security operations with Python or Go.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and investigate security alerts from AWS, logs, and tooling.
• Respond to security incidents impacting Tripadvisor Experiences.
• Triage vulnerabilities from bug bounty and external sources.
• Build and maintain security monitoring and alerting in production.
• Automate security tasks to improve detection and response times.
• Configure and manage WAF, GuardDuty, Security Hub.
• Operationalize findings from SAST/DAST/SCA with engineering teams.
• Conduct threat modeling for new features.
• Collaborate with engineering on secure coding practices and architecture.
