Job summary

L&T Technology Services is seeking a Grid-Forming Control Engineer in Szczecin, Poland, to design and implement advanced grid-forming and grid-following control strategies for modern converters. The role focuses on synchronized PLL development, grid stability, and cross-functional system integration within power electronics projects.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years in converter control, hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink, real-time testing on HIL/CHIL platforms, and a strong foundation

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industry experience in converter control, power electronics, or grid-integration engineering.
• Strong background in power electronics, grid-connected converters and renewable-energy integration.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink modelling, analysis and real-time testing.
• Familiarity with HIL/CHIL platforms for real-time testing.
• Knowledge of grid-forming and grid-following control concepts.

Responsibilities

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong background in power electronics, grid-connected converters, and renewable-energy integration.
• Expertise in grid-forming and grid-following control concepts, including dq0-based current control and voltage-forming control structures.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, model-based development, and converter-grid interaction modelling.
• Experience using HIL/CHIL platforms for real-time testing (e.g., dSPACE, RTDS, Typhoon HIL, OPAL-RT)..
• Minimum 3 years of industry experience in converter control, power electronics, or grid-integration engineering.
