Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. seeks a hands-on Google Cloud Technical Lead to guide architectural thinking and engineering practice. You will shape the Google Cloud Platform strategy, design reference architectures, and lead IAM and security initiatives while driving automation and cost optimization.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver PoCs/MVPs that accelerate cloud adoption. Strong communication and SAFe/Agile experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in cloud engineering with strong Google Cloud Platform focus.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform.
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and troubleshooting.
• Strong leadership, mentoring and stakeholder communication in agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Define technology standards and future state of Google Cloud Platform services.
• Collaborate with Product Owner, Scrum Master, architects to develop and operate cloud services.
• Lead IAM design across Google Cloud including service accounts and policies.
• Drive infrastructure automation and standardized provisioning with IaC, focusing on Terraform.
• Support team members with hands-on automation and best practices.
• Collaborate with FinOps to embed cost visibility and optimization.
• Ensure security, compliance, and quality through design reviews and validation.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to cloud best practices and documentation.
• Build proofs of concept/value for new Google Cloud capabilities.

We are seeking a hands-on Google Cloud Technical Lead/Lead Engineer who combines strong architectural thinking with active engineering practice. In this role, you are responsible for the development of the Google Cloud Platform to optimally serve customer demand through solution design, team assistance, co-creation, or setting up PoC/MVP implementations. This role is part of the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), an Agile Release Train (ART), where you will act as a technical leader guiding teams on best practices, validating designs, and ensuring that security, quality, and cost optimization are embedded by design into all Google Cloud solutions.
