Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Global SAP PM & Planning & Scheduling SME in Wrocław, Poland. You will standardize maintenance processes, govern SAP PM, and drive digital maintenance initiatives across regions, partnering with reliability and IT teams.

You will develop playbooks, training materials, and governance standards, while advancing preventive maintenance and condition-informed strategies. Hybrid work and international collaboration are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Maintenance Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, reliability or maintenance management, strong hands‑on experience with SAP PM.
• Experience with maintenance KPIs and performance metrics, and knowledge of master data governance.

• SAP PM Governance & Standards: harmonize maintenance processes across regions and develop best‑practice workflows.
• Maintenance Work Management Excellence: support planning, scheduling, execution standards; create playbooks and training materials.

About the Role We are looking for a Global SAP PM & Planning & Scheduling SME to support the standardization and continuous improvement of maintenance processes across our operations. In this role, you will act as a global subject matter expert for SAP PM and maintenance work management, helping plants improve planning and scheduling effectiveness, preventive maintenance programs, master data quality and overall asset reliability. You will also support the deployment and adoption of digital maintenance solutions, including Prometheus MPS.ai. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with plant teams, maintenance leaders, reliability experts and digital transformation teams across multiple regions.

Your Responsibilities

• SAP PM Governance & Standards
  • Support harmonization of SAP PM maintenance processes across regions.
  • Develop and maintain best-practice workflows for notifications, work orders, maintenance plans, task lists, equipment and functional locations.
  • Define maintenance master data quality standards and governance requirements.
• Maintenance Work Management Excellence
  • Support implementation of global standards for planning, scheduling and execution of maintenance work.
  • Develop playbooks, templates and training materials.
  • Assess maintenance performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Promote best practices in planning and scheduling routines.
• Preventive Maintenance Optimization
  • Review and optimize preventive maintenance programs.
  • Improve maintenance plans, task lists and frequencies within SAP PM.
  • Support implementation of risk-based and condition-informed maintenance strategies.
  • Collaborate with reliability teams on maintenance strategy development.
• Prometheus MPS.ai Deployment & Support
  • Serve as a business process expert for Prometheus MPS.ai rollout and sustainment.
  • Support implementation of planning, scheduling and resource management processes.
  • Ensure effective integration between Prometheus MPS.ai and SAP PM.
  • Deliver user training and post-implementation support.
• Digital Maintenance Transformation
  • Support the global digital maintenance roadmap.
  • Collaborate with SAP, IT/OT, Digital and Reliability teams.
  • Translate operational requirements into business process improvements.
  • Evaluate and support implementation of innovative maintenance technologies.
• Capability Building & Plant Support
  • Coach planners, supervisors, reliability engineers and maintenance managers.
  • Deliver workshops and assessments across operations.
  • Develop standard operating procedures, implementation guides and training materials.
  • Monitor compliance and value realization from maintenance excellence initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Maintenance Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, reliability or maintenance management, strong hands‑on experience with SAP PM.
• Experience working with maintenance KPIs and performance metrics.
• Knowledge of maintenance master data structures and governance.
• Experience within heavy industrial environments such as cement, aggregates, mining, power generation or manufacturing.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Prometheus GWOS / MPS.ai or similar planning and scheduling solutions.
• SAP PM Key User or Functional Consultant experience.
• Experience supporting global process transformation or digital deployment programs.
• Knowledge of Asset Performance Management (APM) solutions.
• Familiarity with reliability methodologies such as RCM, FMEA, RCFA and criticality analysis.
• CMRP, Lean Six Sigma or equivalent professional certification.
